Pictures As Promised

Even with the snow, I was at work yesterday so these aren’t kids-playing-in-the-snow pictures. They are pictures of the campus of Harding University where I am blessed to work each day. Believe it or not, it’s Spring Break so the campus was empty, which allowed me to wander around and take pictures wherever I wanted. Some of you may recognize a few of the Harding landmarks.

Administration Building

Administration Building and the recently renovated Lilly Pool.

The Bell Tower. Legend says that if you walk under it with a member of the opposite sex, that you will marry that person. Yeah, right.

Sundial.

Just to prove it was me!

The famous Harding swings. “Three swings and a ring.”
Yeah, there’s a lot of marriage myths here.

Where I go to work every day!

Isn’t this cool? Daffodils covered by snow.

This little guy came and posed for me. I’m not making this up.

So there’s my snow day! I wish I had pictures from this morning too. The snow was all gone, but there was a very Bronte-ish fog covering all the fields between our house and town. I love fog and storms and all sorts of weather that most people grumble about. There’s beauty — sometimes fierce beauty — but beauty in all of it.
