This was me. In grad school. 2007. Six years ago. Glad it’s over. I’m looking forward to sandal and toenail polish weather again. I need a new toe ring, though. It’s on my list of things to do.
Part of what I’m trying to do is get over my fear of exercise.
Yep. You read that right. FEAR of exercise. I hated PE, was uncoordinated until much later in life, and grew up in a climate where girls did not play sports or do anything considered less than “feminine.”
I also had a very fearful mother who spent a lot of time worrying about “wearing out” or “messing up” her own body.
This year, one of my goals is to move more and strengthen my body. It’s a temple, you know, and it needs to be cared for.
So how about this? Honestly, I don’t know that I can even do 10 sit-ups, but I can try. And I do a little bit each day until I can do more.
